A customer experience about Ryanair

What happened

I've been in dispute with Ryanair since June 2018. Our flight was cancelled on 17 June until we got another flight on the 19th. European legislation says any delays over four hours should be compensated (Rule E/261 I think). We were delayed 48 hours! They even gave me contradictory excuses. First email said air traffic control problems caused delays. Four days later got another email stating plane had developed a technical fault!! Ironically during this timescale there was a pilots' strike by Ryanair!! I've used two companies to try and get something without success. I would appreciate any feedback.

What I wish had happened

Like thousands of other delayed passengers, we would have expected compensation.
