What happened

We booked a holiday in July 2019 and it got cancelled. We had a refund processed of our direct debits on the 9th June for £490. We put a deposit down on the holiday of £659.92 and are yet to have this back. 16 weeks later, Everyone keeps telling us it has been refunded but it hasn't as the account was closed. I sent the account closure letter in to them 4 times now. I have even rang the bank who says there is no credit sat on the account regardless of it being closed. We have sent several emails, spent atleast 10 hours on the phone and we are getting no where. I sent the account closure letters on the 25th May, 2nd July and the 10th July. I was made aware on the 2nd July that my request was going through to the finance team as immediate request but I am yet to have been contacted and yet to have a refund.

What I wish had happened

I just want my refund after 16 weeks. All I want is the money back. They should have to pay compensation but it's just not worth the hassle.
