What happened

Bought currys essentials hob in January 2020. Hob stopped working Christmas day. Contacted Currys by phone and by webchat. Told this hob is unrepairable, written off code 5. Would get a confirmation to straight exchange within 48 hours. Next a message came through from their team saying exchange declined. Phoned and webchat several times more. Have got nowhere. They are obviously delaying until warranty expires. Some of the agents asked for serial number, some required an uplift number. One offered to get me the number but just hung up put me through to repair service who said she should have spoken to them or a supervisor

What I wish had happened

I would like to have had a knowledgeable human being who could arrange replacement within say 7 days.
