What happened

I bought a laptop in 2008, and took out the repair and replace cover for £7.99 a month. I have paid this every month since. I recently checked my bank account and noticed the fee had not been taken out February 2021 or March 2021, and when i queried it with the bank, they hadn't attempted to take the payment at all, they had simply cancelled my direct debit. Feel very frustrated as i have paid almost 13 years worth of cover, to end up with nothing and no help. Anyone know where i stand?

What I wish had happened

I wish they would have contacted me if there was any issues, or if they had attempted to take the payment.
