What happened

I had a txt from Hermes with the 07 number I checked but not traceable - they said they had left a parcel but I wasn’t in - which I was as I was about to connect a Zoom call - there was no card pushed through - they gave me the Hermes App (which I have) but it was not possible to go through to them as I had no delivery number and they asked for £1.45 to re-deliver it I tried to get through to them but their 03 number was going to cost me at least £3 Reluctantly, I paid the re-delivery they requested and once paid I was not given a number or new delivery date, nothing - I do not know how to get in touch with a local delivery van or anything- I’m not even sure which parcel they have left as I have asked for several items which two have given tracking so presume it is the untracked one I have had parcels from Hermes before without a problem - what can I do? What I wish had happened

I wish they had left a tracking number from receiving it from the company to the delivery to my door and at least left a contact card
