What happened

Ordered an item then paid via Paypal but somehow the order vanished from their system, fine, I know mistakes happen, so I tried the online chat to try and get it sorted, but the only response was order it again and you'll get your money back after 24 hours. the guy I talked to hadn't got a clue what to do and his attitude came across as, if you don't like it, tough. Still waiting for the refund, but the problem is, it was with Paypal and sadly they have about the same level of customer service. Ah well you live and learn.

What I wish had happened

Simply get the agents trained to a standard where they can deal with problems.
