What happened

I bought an expensive (nearly £2k) kitchen extractor, which didn't fit, and needed to be returned. A Google search led me to P4D for a pallet collection and delivery service. All seemed fine, simple booking process online, and they came when expected and collected. But the item never reached its delivery destination. When contacted, P4D claimed it was never collected! After much pursuing, they admitted they sub'd the job out to Pallex, and it was Pallex who claimed it was never collected, so nothing P4D can do. This is an outright theft scam! I am incandescent at this treatment. Neither company has done anything to address the matter, have simply denied all responsibility, and I am out of pocket nearly £2k!

What I wish had happened

In the first place they should have delivered the item to the address they were contracted to do (or indeed anywhere I could get access to it!). But having 'lost' the item, they should have apologised, and compensated me for my loss under their care. And tbh, the people who collected the item and stole it should be reported to the police. Pallex know exactly who they are. I have an exact date & time of the collection. They know who was on that route at that time. This is not a hard crime to solve!
