What happened

We paid a deposit to the company for a villa only holiday for July 20. When the full balance was requested 3 weeks ago we were told that we may not be covered under package holiday rules if the holiday did not go ahead! We opted not to pay the balance due to the risk of losing approx £4500. We asked for a refund or to rebook or to be sent a voucher but I’m struggling to get any response/ acknowledgement of my contact attempts. I have only received a cancellation invoice! I’ve been a customer for more than 10years.....!!

What I wish had happened

For the holiday to be rescheduled for the following year at no extra cost. Would have been a huge relief in a very anxious time. Would have given us something to look forward to and would have given us huge confidence and a sense of satisfaction and trust with VP looking after our interests. The opposite has now happened unfortunately.
