What happened
Bid and won an iPhone from a seller on eBay. Requested it be delivered 'click & collect' to my local Argos. Before I could collect it the store closed due to the virus this was March '20. When it re-opened I was told all parcels were returned to the sellers (his address was on the parcel). I requested details from Argos re what method it was returned e.g. Royal Mail/Courier but they do not know, they did not do any paperwork. The seller never received the iPhone. I have proof it was delivered and signed for (11th March '20)from Royal Mail. Requested compensation from Argos they have refused. Value of iPhone £127 + £5.99 p&p.
What I wish had happened
Paid me the compensation I requested. Argos had a duty of care to look after the parcel. The fact that they cannot prove that it was returned and/or by what means because they did no do any paperwork is just inconceivable for a company that size.
