What happened

My daughter who is a vulnerable adult paid for Two sofas . When delivered they was supposed to be taken to room, unpacked and assembled and packaging taken away . They took them to living room and left in a hurry not asking her to sign anything. The boxes was damaged and when my friends helped her unpack them the arm of the sofa was damaged . After many phone calls , emails they will not take responsibility for it saying she must have damaged them herself taking them into her apartment as delivery men did not take them in during lockdown. This is a lie as many reviews on Trustpilot praise the delivery men who unpacked the furniture and took packaging away during lockdown .This goes back to October 12th 2020. As ncf are not a member, the furniture ombudsman cannot do anything . I have now arranged for the damage to be repaired at a cost of £200 plus she paid for the delivery and assembly service which she didn’t receive so a total of £249 she has to pay out . They have taken advantage of a vulnerable adult in her first home of living independently. They are a disgrace . I am on a Facebook group called “ do not shop at NCF living until you read these complaints and problems”. There are many horror stories on there of how this company treat their customers once they have their money .

What I wish had happened

To replace with a new sofa or money refunded
