What happened

An electric blanket bought from Argos stopped heating up, went to their website and it said to take it to local Sainsburys, was told there that I had to ring Argos customer services, they said I had to ring manufacturer to get ref. no. then go back to Sainsburys with it, upon arriving back was told that the order no. that was given at time of purchase (from Stranrear) was from Hull and would have to contact Argos again, then after going back and forth all day was told that I would have to take it to an "Argos in Sainsburys", I pointed out that my nearest one of those was 75 miles away and it would mean leaving a level 4 lockdown area, driving across another and into a third, "well if you want a refund that is what you will have to do" was the response

What I wish had happened

common sense to prevail and let my local Sainsburys, (who I must say even though their hands were tied by HQ stupidity was very helpful and understanding), deal with this
