What happened
Made order on 1st June to be delivered the next day . No email , no communication and my in laws had waited in all day . Payment was taken as pending in bank account . Didn’t arrive , contacted customer services who kept fobbing me Off with different stories and eventually told me it was a ghost order because the item was out of stock and I had to wait for the pending payment to automatically be refunded ( which could take 48 hrs , longer with bank holidays ) Went to store ordered from and item was in stock , had to repurchase and was given a little discount for inconvenience , but payment still pending and bank says I have to wait 7 working days , Argos online still relunctant to cancel the order or send any confirmations that the refund will be issued . This is not the first time I’ve had issues obtaining a refund . Last time it took over a month
What I wish had happened
That the ghost order didn’t generate in the first place and the order went through smoothly . That I recieved an email to say that the order was unsuccessful and the the item wasn’t being delivered .
