What happened
Cancelled hotel due to covid, covid certificate now required for Spain at extreme unaffordable expense, not advised of at time of booking.. Government warning of non essential travel. Separate flight also has been cancelled by airline. Requested refund, 4 weeks prior to travel (12December 2020) they want 50% of booking fee which I paid in full. they also want 30 pounds per person cancellation fee. They dont want to do a cash refund, a voucher only, if they go out of business you actually get nothing. Whilst the 30 pounds pp is bad enough 50% of the booking fee is unacceptable and I want a cash refund to my cc. I am not alone in complaining about this company there are hundreds of complaints. Their latest promotion is a discount to new bookings, unbelievable.
What I wish had happened
I would have expected them to charge 30pp cancel fee and credited the remainder to my credit card immediately, not an argument which is what we all have had.
