What happened
When I ring British Telecom to check my services contract end dates, it would be helpful if they could give me a consistent date - rather than a different date - each time I ask. Giving a different date makes it feel like you're just making it up.
What I wish had happened
Allow your customer service staff to access your customers contract records. If they don't know how to, train them. If you don't trust them, get new staff. If you don't want them to as a matter of policy, change your policy.
What happened
Stop cold calling me to sell me BT products I either already have, or have already told you I don't want. I don't care whether its you, or your 'partners'. Stop it.
What I wish had happened
Check your records. If I already have something don't call me and try to sell me it. It just makes you look incompetent.
