What happened
My mother purchased a range master cooker from Curry’s in July. She was advised the initial delivery date would be second week of august. On the expected day of delivery, we received a message saying they had no drivers. I followed this up with registering my frustration. Then informed it was due to the cooker being out of stock. Then delivery date changed from 11/9 to 15/9. Spoke to the shop and they then changed delivery to today (2/9.) the gas fitter came and without any checks stated the gas fire was unsafe and would need to be capped. My mother argued that it was safety checked this year. She rang up and was able to confirm this as she did not have the certificate handy. The person then said he felt it was not safe and would only do it if capping the gas fire. The housing agreed to send one of their gas people to check the fire. Curry’s guy was obstructive. I contacted the tweeter account for curry's to complain and they were not helpful. A new gas man for the housing has since been out and confirmed the fire is perfectly safe and said if curry's gas man felt it was unsafe he should have documented this and also carried out some specific test which did not happen. So an expensive cooker that was waited for over 2 months has not been delivered and installed and the curry's service is terrible. Curry's are not interested in good customer service and instead treat customers with contempt. The response from their Twitter was not useful at all.
What I wish had happened
That the cooker was delivered and installed on time without issue.
